As I worked with Kelsey to bring her flower dreams to life for her wedding, she was curious about how some things would look. I get it, it can be hard to visualize an art form as unique as flowers. Her vision included all white flowers, little to no greenery, and a good amount of texture. I sketched out this rough drawing of the ceremony arch to share with her what I saw in my head. We talked about being able to repurpose the piece as a whole for the sweethearts table and I suggested making a floor piece that could be easily moved to the front of the table. Looking back, it’s fun to see the vision I had in my head on paper and then in real life. I’m so grateful to work with brides who entrust me with their vision. It’s a true passion to create something unique for each of my brides.

Sometimes I stop and think - it really is pretty crazy what I get to do for a living!

My name is Leah and I have was introduced to the world of wedding flowers when my oldest sister got married in 2012 and the florist was a family friend. I got a taste of what designing flowers was like and since then imagined it being a part of my life. After meeting my husband in college out of state we moved back to Idaho in 2017 and really moved forward with pursuing this business. We created Spera Floral and have seen it grow to a part time adventure to a full time business for both Josh and I. We are so very grateful for all of the people along the way that have invested in Spera Floral and trusted us with providing such a special element to their wedding or event. As life changes and God directs us in new ways, we are excited to see how this business will grow and change. 🤍

We went to a marriage session at our church last night and I was reminded of the importance of intentionally connecting with your spouse. It comes naturally when you’re dating and getting to know one another, but as the years pass you have to be a little more intentional. The word that stuck with me was ~cultivate~. Cultivate your marriage. Just like we cultivate a garden, we can metaphorically do the same in our marriages; water, feed, weed, and watch as time goes by, the flowers bloom, and the trees bear fruit. 💕
